Rajesh Ramayan Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) is one of the characters of the CBS television series, “The Big Bang Theory.” He is known to be best friends with Howard Wolowitz. He works at the Physics department of Caltech, where his forte is particle astrophysics. He was featured in People magazine’s “30 Under 30,” after discovering a planetary object beyond the Kuiper Belt (“PlanetBollywood” as he called it). Because of this, he received larger commission in his work and made him some sort of a celebrity.
