Another thing was the ever elusive mother. His mother had never appeared in the show but in voice only. The wedding of her son is something that she won’t miss for the world unless she is bedridden and even that can be dealt with. So how did the season final go and how did the writers manage to pull it off.

The episode was titled ‘The Countdown Reflection’. And the first question it answered was that Howard did make it to space. He was in fact in the ship and the episode was shown as a flash back.

It turned out that he did hold a wedding of sorts. It was an impromptu gig and meant to prove a silly point. They held a civil wedding at the roof of their apartment with only the friends and Bernadette’s dad in attendance. The impromptu nature eliminated the need for Mummy Howard to appear, there was just not time. They tied everything in nicely.

The marriage was to convince some one that he was heading to space. But it was a good thing Raj did not play a major role in the ceremony just as he did in the bachelor’s party where he opened his mouth and something else took over and said things that he maybe won’t have said if he was still in control of his body. It was a good thing he almost choked on his drink or he would have said more.

But it was the friends that did the officiating which was awkward enough but Sheldon wanted to do it in Klingon. In the end, it was the vows they made to each other that mattered.

Leonard chose an “inappropriate” to propose to Penny and the rest of the gang was not going to let it just go like that. Penny had been handling herself quite well until he decided to open his mouth again. He may be the last to know that he is standing on shaky grounds with her.

The blast off scene was quite touching as the gang one way or the other found each other hands. Sheldon to Amy’s shock took her hands. That is one man who has grown tremendously although he is still a project under construction. It was an episode filled with moments of laughter and tears.

Helberg very well understands the conundrum, and so he recently told media: “You don’t tend to see space travel and nuptials being discussed in a realistic way on television often.” “Everything gets turned on its head and there’s nothing traditional about what’s happening,” he added.

Howard is the most awkward of all the scientists on the series. He is only one still living with his mother and wears queer bright clothes. He has trouble dealing with people, however he has improved a lot since he first appeared five years ago.

In fact he is so refined now that he is ready for to marry. Wondering at his character, Herbert told the same media organisation: “Who would have thought that Howard Wolowitz would actually be getting married and sort of becoming a sensitive, self-aware, mature person?”

As surprising as the change is Howard is, still more surprising is the fact that a series about a group of scientists could be so popular. If you were to look at stats, a little less than 16 million people tune in each week to watch ‘The Big Bang Theory.’ The channel airing the show has already decided to renew it for another season.

Talking about the series success, Helberg says: “I do just think it’s a show about real people. I think that people watch these guys try to fit in and see them as underdogs who are really good people…but are just kind of ignorant about the rules of life.”

Then concluding his thoughts about the show, he adds: “I think everyone’s kind of a closet nerd.”

This episode was titled ‘The Launch Acceleration’ it was a hilarious shock to see that Howard was actually afraid of going to space after all was said and done. He was glad that he would die the way he claimed God had intended. He was so happy with the whole thing being cancelled that it was quite funny on its own. Bernadette did not want him to go because of their wedding but she turned a new leaf and did not mind him going. But the question is they will still have to hold the wedding.

As for the others, Leonard almost ruined his relationship Penny out of sheer stupidity. They are meant to be together but he picked the wrong time to propose.

But Amy’s character seemed to have been the most improved this season. She is the odd one out in terms of likeability. There are fans that really like her and those that don’t. But she is a good character and quite funny. And this episode saw her shining as she played Sheldon brilliantly. She wants to seduce him but whether her plan would work is another question altogether. It would be funny even attempting this because Sheldon is one unusual character with unusual likes.

But both the relationship of Sheldon and Leonard has been growing so much so that some fans can’t but wonder if they will be together as roommates for long. The show has gotten a lot of mileage on them being roommates so it would be interesting to see how things would pan out. As it stands now it’s unthinkable that they would have to live separately.

The season’s finale is just around the corner and it would be interesting to know if Howard will go to space or get married.

The rest of the gang struggles to put together a hasty wedding for Howard and Bernadette, who decide they want to be married before Howard’s launch.

Now it would be difficult to say what kind of party would be thrown but it definitely was not a boring one. Bernadette’s party was hilarious for the viewer but it could have been a nightmare for the invited. As for Sheldon, it seems as if drinking serves to make for better viewing as it loosed it up and since this a comedy, it provided another avenue for fans to roll on the floor.

His speech was down right mean especially to Howard but he has always been mean to Howard as such so it can’t be attributed to him being drunk. But Raj is someone that should not even take a sip of alcohol for whatever the reason. His mouth ran as if the brakes failed and said things that should not be said even with a gun in the head. And if Will has his way the internet will be agog with the news in no time.

Howard has been transformed through his relationship with Bernadette. The change sort of crept up on fans as they did not really see it leap on them as such but what this episode helped in doing was to sum up the changes his relationship with Bernadette had done to him. And the best scene that summed it up was when he sent Penny with a message of apology to Bernadette who got angry over the things Raj talked about which also happened to be in his past.

This is a comedy show and a very good one at that but they still have a way of communicating real issues as in the case of this relationship that has been put on the brink of disaster over a friend saying things that the husband to be has done in the past. It throws up many issues that are worth pondering on after the show is over and the laughter had died down.

The episode in question is the third to the last episode meaning there are just about two more episodes left for this season to wind down. It does look like Bernadette will come around and the marriage will go on as scheduled but who knows with these writers; they might just decide to turn everything on its head.

Howard’s space mission is moved up, conflicting with the wedding. Meanwhile, Leonard mentions something in the bedroom that surprises Penny.

A bachelor party and his sexual past puts Howard’s marriage to Bernadette in jeopardy.

It has been noticed by a lot of viewers that Sheldon has been extremely mean in some episodes, and in one episode he was the true identification of a bully. And everyone was happy to see this situation shift roles, as we saw Howard taking it to Sheldon and getting the pay back for all what he did to him in all of these past episodes. And of course, any young man would love to win a trip into outer space and become an astronaut, but it seems that Sheldon, being the bully he is didn’t even show any respect towards Howard concerning his trip, he only showed some respect when he found out that this trip would make him get the chance to see Stephan Hawking, only then did he gave Howard credit for the trip. Because it seems that he doesn’t respect him in a professional way, but he sure did his best in order to exploit the situation and take full advantage of it.

As for the tasks that were assigned to Howard, they were all different, but all were equally funny and hilarious. And what made them funnier that it was Sheldon who would follow through them, and we got to see him, and we know that despite being very smart, but he can’t deal with comments and always miss interpret different situations. As for the funniest task that was assigned, it was the one where we saw Sheldon walking into the restaurant wearing the custom of a French maid.

The 70 year physicist can be seen in the picture meeting with Sheldon in what appears to be a library. Sheldon who is played by Jim Parsons will in an episode titled ‘The Hawking Excitation’ he will be attempting to meet with him after. Wolowitz played by Simon Helberg begins to work with him.

The show that is being aired on CBS had Leonard Limou making a guest appearance only last week after he had acted as the voice of his ‘Star Trek’ character Spock.
